Tomorrow, January 25, the state House Judiciary Committee will hear an NRA-supported bill: House Bill 2471 would reform the background check requirements for firearm purchases by CPL holders. HB 2471 will be heard tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. in Hearing Room A of the John L. O’Brien Building in Olympia. 

Tomorrow, January 25, the state Senate Natural Resources and the Environment Committee is scheduled to hear NRA-backed Senate Bill 301.  This hearing will take place at 3:00 p.m. in Room 450 of the State Capitol.  

The 2012 session of the West Virginia Legislature is underway and has gotten off to a great start for gun owners.  Pro-gun West Virginia legislators have introduced four NRA-backed bills already with at least one more bill expected to be introduced in the very near future.

Today, the state Senate General Laws and Technology Committee passed Senate Bill 245 by a 13 to 2 vote. This legislation will now be sent to the floor of the Virginia Senate, where it will be voted on this week.
